The Man Without Qualities
Directed by Przemysław Drążek
It's 1989. Ulrich is a founder of a publishing house which allows the society to write books. He believes that it will encourage a societal belief about infirmity of the system he lives in. However, it becomes otherwise. Ulrich exploited by the communism decides to perform a coup and write a book which would change everything. He takes up a job at a turnpike, where he has plenty of time for writing. Absorbed by his work he fails to notice that the system crumbles by itself without his contribution.
